Hello, I'm Katrina
the Photographer
Katrina is a professional photographer based in Peterborough County, Ontario. She has been a hobbyist photographer since 2011, who branched into professional photography in 2015. She was certified as a Birth Doula in 2017, which led her into the world of Birth Photography. She has been a professional member of the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers since 2017 and has attended many home and hospital births. As of 2026 she is branching into wedding photography and will be offering discount packages in order to build a wedding portfolio.
Katrina is an internationally exhibited artist, with her landscape and portrait work being featured in galleries in countries such as South Africa, United Kingdom, Philippines, United States, Colombia, Australia, and Sweden. Her work has also been published in Digital Camera, 121 Clicks, and Practical Photoshop Magazines.
My approach
Katrinas approach to portrait photography is a lifestyle approach. Her preference is in candid moments, to capture natural smiles, laughs, and body language. This approach works especially well when working with children, as they often get restless and uncooperative during photography sessions. Lifestyle sessions allow a natural flow and work well for in home sessions where everyone is most comfortable.
